About Us:

Hoskbrew is a dynamic and growing game company dedicated to creating immersive and engaging tabletop experiences. We are currently developing a visually rich and captivating RPG and are seeking a talented Miniature Painter to contribute their expertise in bringing our unique characters, monsters, and scenery to tangible reality. You will play a crucial role in defining the visual aesthetic of our game and enhancing the player experience.

What You'll Do:

• Paint high-quality miniatures according to provided concept art, color palettes, and artistic direction. This includes base coating, layering, highlighting, shading, and detailing to achieve a professional and visually appealing tabletop standard.
• Work with a variety of miniature materials, including but not limited to plastic, resin, and metal.
• Apply various painting techniques such as dry brushing, washing, blending, and edge highlighting to create depth, texture, and visual interest.
• Ensure consistency in painting style and quality across multiple miniatures within a specific unit or set.
• Meet deadlines for assigned painting tasks and communicate progress effectively.
• Maintain clear and open communication with the project lead and art director regarding progress, challenges, and interpretations of the source material.
• Potentially provide feedback on miniature sculpts and suggest painting approaches to enhance their visual impact.
• Organize and maintain painted miniatures in a manner suitable for photography and potential future production reference.
• Adhere to any specific quality standards and guidelines provided by Hoskbrew.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a miniature painter, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skill in painting tabletop miniatures for RPGs or similar projects. This portfolio must demonstrate a high level of detail, understanding of color theory, and proficiency in various painting techniques.
• Exceptional brush control and dexterity necessary for intricate detail work on small-scale figures.
• A keen eye for detail, color accuracy, and achieving a consistent aesthetic.
• Strong understanding of light and shadow to create realistic depth and dimension on miniatures.
• Ability to interpret and translate 2D concept art into 3D painted figures.
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with the project team.
• Passion for tabletop role-playing games and an understanding of the aesthetic common in the genre is a significant plus.
• Experience with basing miniatures to a high standard is desirable.
• Familiarity with different miniature scales (e.g., 28mm, 32mm) is beneficial.
