3D Scluptor - Independent Contractor
Job description
Ravenous Coast Miniatures line: to support our Role Playing line of product.
Project Vision:
We’re not building a clean, corporate fantasy world. We’re crafting artisanal chaos—a setting where tentacles, scars, and asymmetry speak louder than symmetry or polish. The Ravenous Coast is a collision point between fractured reality and primal dreams. Our miniatures must reflect that.
Key Visual Pillars
1. Chaos-Infused, Grimdark Aesthetic
Sculpts should emphasize:
- Hunger and mutation (monsters that drip, shiver, and leer)
- Personal scars and asymmetry (characters marked by bad bargains or trauma)
- Environmental instability (e.g., warped limbs, tentacled mouths, weapons made of
bone and hexed steel)
2. Gothic Horror Meets CRPG Realism
Inspiration should blend:
- Dark Souls–style grotesquery
- Pathfinder/5E anatomical grounding
- The “in-world logic” of Planescape: Torment
- Textured, story-rich surfaces à la Kingdom Death or Trench Crusade
3. NPCs and Creatures as Concept Anchors
Reference characters like:
- Alef Brickhouse: chaos-tainted dwarf enchanter, twitchy and paranoid
- Geb Undercut: gnarled dwarf with a third eye and worm-bored skull
- Aiti Muirhorr: the mantis-limbed demon matriarch of the Murder Horde
Sculpting Style Preferences
“Artisanal chaos,” not factory precision.
- Embrace imperfections and raw storytelling details
- Think asymmetrical horns, ritual scars, living armor, organic filth
- Characters and monsters should feel cursed to exist, not forged in clean resin molds
- Hard Scrabble Survival.
- There are NO Second Chances in the Wild.
- Realistic weapons and armors. No grossly oversized weapons.
Logistical Requirements
- STL-ready files: Printable, supportable, 28mm heroic scale
- Timeline: Align with Kickstarter fulfillment goals
- Terrain assets: May include stylized ruins, corrupted shrines, caravanserai barricades (e.g., Black Rhino, Hel’s Gate)
Motifs to Include Where Appropriate:
- Tentacles (Dovin the Gray’s influence, extradimensional motifs)
- Bottles, locks, and broken seals (Possibility Bottle, Alef's works)
- Glyphwork and runes crawling across armor, skin, or stone
Final Note for Artists
We’re not just making miniatures. We’re sculpting the aftermath of failed gods, broken oaths, and unshaped nightmares. If you get it, you’re in.
